Kristine Threet – Director, Growing Room San Pablo
Kristine has 22 years of experience working with children, primarily as the lead teacher in the twos, threes, and four-year-old classrooms. She also has a degree in Early Childhood Development and served as the director of a preschool for 15 years before joining Growing Room. Kristine is a native of Connecticut and relocated to Jacksonville with her husband in 2003. They are the proud parents of four busy children.
Fun Fact about Kristine: Her “guilty pleasure” is playing Candy Crush…which she can do for hours!
Cathy Hemphill — Assistant Director, Growing Room San Pablo
Cathy started her career in early childhood education more than 20 years ago. She has enjoyed 14 years as a Lead VPK teacher and has worked in preschool management, including for the U.S. Army in Virginia Beach, VA. Cathy loves children — she has three of her own, as well as nine grandchildren. We’re thrilled to have Cathy as part of our Growing Room family!
Fun Fact about Cathy: She is an adrenaline junkie. Cathy has been sky diving, loves roller coasters and has even done cliff jumping.
Liz Marscheck – Assistant Director, Growing Room San Pablo
Liz has been a part of the Growing Room family as a parent since 2014. She joined our team as a VPK teacher in 2015 and soon after accepted the offer to move into management. Liz’s love for children started during her high school years through a volunteer mentorship program. She went on to earn a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences with and and emphasis in Education from Baylor University. Prior to joining Growing Room, Liz was a Marketing and Communications coordinator and she is thrilled to be able to utilize those skills along with loving your children.
Fun Fact about Liz: She is an avid crafter and has been sewing since childhood. (You’ll see her designs around the school!)
Jennifer Rainbolt – Director of Curriculum, Growing Room Jacksonville
Jennifer joined the Growing Room team in 2018. She has her AA degree as well as her CDA and Director’s Credential. Jennifer has been in the child care field for 15 years, with most of that time spent teaching VPK. She first became interested in child care while in high school, after working with special needs infants. Ms. Jennifer’s love for teaching and caring for children continued to grow, leading her to the role of Director for San Pablo, in addition to providing curriculum development and teacher training for both of our Jacksonville schools. In her new role as Director of Curriculum, Jennifer can now assure our children have every opportunity to reach their maximum potential through a solid preschool experience.
